A Statistical Analysis of Otolaryngological Findings of The Pulmonary Tuberculous Patients


Abstract
The clinical and statistical analysis of otolalyngological findings was done for476 cases of the pulmonary tuberculous patients.
Results.
I) Of 476 cases, pulmonary tuberculosis with cervical lymph node swelling was noted in 24 cases (5.04%).
2) The subjective symptoms were as following: ithing on ear canal 26.26%, hearing
.difficulty 4.41%, tinnitus 9,87%, vertio 9.03%, nasal stuffiness 42.64% nasal dryness 36.97%, foul odor in mouth 22.47%6. sputum 38.02%, fatigue 66.59%,
3) The otological subjective symptoms by streptomycin toxicity were observed in hearing difficulty 0.84%, tinnitus 8.19%, vertigo 6.72%.
4) The objective signs were as following: ear wax 19.11%, drum retraction 6.63%, hypertrophy of inf. concha 10.08%, sinusitis 7.77%, swellen with redness of pharyngial lymph follicle 51.05%, vocal cord paralys 1.05%
